The Women’s Resources Board of Directors is comprised of dedicated volunteers with expertise across multiple sectors. Together, they bring a broad range of perspectives and experiences that strengthen the organization’s governance and strategic leadership.

Jen Lee

Jen has served on the Women’s Resources Board of Directors since 2018. She is an educator and student success professional with more than a decade of experience in secondary and post-secondary education. She currently teaches Learning and Life Skills and works as a Special Education Resource Teacher, with previous roles as a classroom teacher, Teacher-Librarian, Student Success Advisor, and Program Coordinator.

Jen’s commitment to community service has included volunteering with several not-for-profit organizations and supporting service-learning initiatives throughout her career. While completing post-graduate studies in Education, she contributed to a violence and abuse prevention civic engagement project with Kingston’s Interval House. Through her work in the City of Kawartha Lakes, she developed connections with Women’s Resources and was inspired by the organization’s impact on women and families in the community. She is particularly passionate about initiatives that prevent violence, support mentorship, and empower underrepresented voices.

Fun fact: Jen enjoys lifelong learning and has taught a wide range of subjects, including History, Law, Careers, Civics, and Communications Technology.
