Volunteers are the cornerstone of Women’s Resources and support us in many ways. Some of the ways that volunteers help include:
- Customer service and donation processing at Vicky’s Values Thrift Boutique
- Children’s programming
- Fundraising
- Shopping and gardening at the shelter
- Administrative support
- Special Events
- Board Member on our Board of Directors
Step 1: Complete the following forms
- Complete the online application in full and hit “submit application”
- Ask two (2) references to complete a reference form. References must not be family or close friends. Paper copies of the reference form can be picked up at the Resource Centre (22 Russell Street, E. Lindsay, ON.) or at Vicky’s Values Thrift Boutique (50 Mary Street, W. Lindsay, ON.)
Step 2: PROVIDE PROOF OF COVID-19 VACCINATION
All applicants must be vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to be considered for a volunteer position with WR. As part of the on-boarding process, you must provide government-issued documentation verifying that you have received a minimum of 2 vaccinations against COVID-19.
Step 3: What’s next?
Short-listed applicants will be invited for an interview with the Volunteer Coordinator.
If you’re a successful applicant, the following will need to be completed:
- A Police Record Check (PRC) – A letter will be supplied to the volunteer to provide police services.
- Required Mandatory Paperwork
- Required Hybrid Volunteer Training
*Please note, if you have used WR services in the past 1 year, or are currently an active client or resident, we thank you for your interest, however we are not able to accept Internal Volunteers*
