Women’s Resources has two positions available in our Anti Human Trafficking program. These positions will be part of the shelter team and will provide 1:1 support, direct services and modelling to HT survivors as they transition through a graduated residential program to independence. The hours of work will be flexible and based on service and may include days, evenings, weekends, swing shifts and on call.
These positions are full time positions until March 30, 2025.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years experience in women’s services, street outreach, mental health/addictions
- Post secondary education in human services an asset
- Strong knowledge of trauma informed care practices and human sexual trafficking
- Compassionate, empathetic and non judgemental approach
- Ability to establish trusting relationship with vulnerable populations
- Strong knowledge of community resources and advocacy skills
- Demonstrate initiative, critical thinking and a self-directed working style
- Good written, oral and computer literacy skills
- Professional public speaking skills
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
